March fun

Somehow I’ve gotten five whole months behind with blogs, eeek!!! So… happy Christmas, happy new year etc. etc. When I haven’t been walking dogs around Whickham or at the beach I’ve been spending a lot of time on my Rose Filtered and LEAPUP Etsy shops. I’ve spent quite a bit of time before Christmas designing the menus…

Halloween fun

A really lovely Halloween doggie social in the park, some very cute costumes, lots of very fast fluff, an honorary doggie called James and even a little bit of cake… what more can you ask for? To download the photos click on the photo then right click it and press ‘save image as’ to save…

More park life…

More park life… lots of socialisation and fluffy pup snaps. A bit dull so not ideal conditions… lots of fuzzy pics taken by Leanne Warren. To download any pictures simply click on the picture… then right click and ‘save image as’ to your computer.

A trip to Druridge Bay

It’s been a lovely half term, with lots of the doggies on their holidays it’s been a real treat to have a bit more time so we managed a trip up to Druridge Bay. The weather was cold and cloudy, a very crisp autumnal feel and we had a few spots of rain… this led…

Fun

Typical… on a day when every single one of the doggies are being so… alert, obedient, having fun but also being great with their commands, sharing their toys nicely and playing and chasing so well together… I only go and leave the camera at home and have to rely on my camera phone for some…

Autumn days

A lovely week of walkies, some of my fave moments included Benni meeting a little shih tzu buddy called Bobby and little Molly getting well, about as dirty as a dog can get. It was also really great to finally have Jess out with the other dogs now that we’ve got her over her fear…

Pawsome fun at the beach…

I think it’s fair to say that the doggies had a pawsome time at Seaton Sluice this morning… I did, the sun was shining and the beach was quiet and looking beautiful – bliss!!!

Beach trip

Our first trip to the beach in quite a while. Stormy clouds and a very stormy sea, lovely to have it to ourselves though!

Autumn begins…

At last the colours are changing, the air is getting crisper and a little bit soggier too! We’ve had lots of lovely fun times this week…

Halloween is coming…

For those of you that remember last years fun we had a fab Halloween walk with some lovely fancy dressed doggies… we are having a walk again this year on Sunday 30th October. Doggie fancy dress essential, please register your interest on the Whickham Walkies facebook page if you’d like to come along: https://www.facebook.com/events/1757272094533209/ Here’s a…

April sunshine, April showers

So we’ve had some particularly soggy, yucky days this April, but it hasn’t stopped the doggies having lots of fun, fun, fun! Thankfully things have improved a lot this last week and we’ve had a solid week of beautiful sunshine and it’s finally started to dry up – hurray!

Hello little lady…

It’s a long time since I’ve taken on any new clients but really excited to be doing a little bit of walkies and training with this little lady….

Bear Bells

Just a shout out for a great little product that I’ve never seen used before until last week when I was out walking at Causey Arch. It’s a ‘Bear Bell’ that your dog can wear which can help to alert prey that your dog is coming and also help locate your dog if they have…

Tug of War

Oscar our most prolific ‘tug of war’ competitor requires a special shout out – he is always the first to initiate play when out on a walk but is such a softie that he usually lets the other (smaller) dog have the toy (after giving them a hard workout first). 🙂

January Snaps

A selection of snaps from our outings in the couple of last week… after some serious defrosting the main theme has been (you guessed it) mud, so no change there!

Beach trip

More fun at the beach this January with outings to Seaton Sluice and Druridge Bay, definitely the highlight for me… I just love to see the dogs having so much freedom to run and play and they have been great while we’ve been out and about… which is always an added bonus :-).

Snow Pups

Very happy (and a little bit relieved) to have had some snow this week. It’s meant a chance for some cleaner walks for the doggies, and well, I just love the snow even more than they do (if that’s possible). We didn’t use the car and had a few days of Whickham walkabout – picking…

Beach Pups

More beachy fun this week in an attempt to escape the epic amounts of mud. Lots of loveliness, with fun, playing and chasing and enough room to really stretch their legs. Poor little Oscar however has been kept on the lead as he is a beach comber who will literally eat anything and everything he…
