giftguideLRI’ve pulled together a Pinterest board of doggie gift ideas, which I’m still adding to in the build up to Christmas. For anyone like me who is a little bit dog crazy it could help with your Christmas shopping ideas (I’ve also included lots of lovely kitty cat ideas too)…

The gift guide includes ideas for dog cards & gift wrap, cat and dog stocking fillers, doggie tree decorations, dog themed gifts for him and her, doggie decor and more… so have a look and see if there is anything you can tick off your Christmas list while you support an indie business this Christmas! The Cav Collective Christmas Social

Leapup - British pop art and pet portraits by North East artist Leanne Warren

Sunday’s Cav Collective social… Christmas jumpers, wooly hats and gloves, freezing cold weather, a deep white frost and not forgetting the antlers… it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

Thanks to Sharon for her warm welcome at Watergate cafe at the end of our walk – it was freezing (too cold for some of the youngsters who had to give the walk a miss and warm their cold hands and toes at the cafe). Yummy luxury marshmallow hot chocolate was just the medicine!

The next Cav Collective meet up will be Sunday 14th January 2018 setting off on our walk promptly @9.45 AM from the main car park and finishing at Watergate Cafe. Please check the weather and dress appropriately/wrap up warm if it’s another cold one!

March fun

Somehow I’ve gotten five whole months behind with blogs, eeek!!! So… happy Christmas, happy new year etc. etc.

When I haven’t been walking dogs around Whickham or at the beach I’ve been spending a lot of time on my Rose Filtered and LEAPUP Etsy shops. I’ve spent quite a bit of time before Christmas designing the menus for Jasper’s Coffee House in Keswick and displaying artwork for sale which has been very exciting! Trying to set up two new businesses has caused me to get a little bit behind with everything else in my life… ooops! I love being a dog walker , it’s the perfect job for me. However over the last couple of months I’ve reduced my number of doggies to give me a little bit more time – it was a difficult decision but the right decision to make as it means less dogs on each walk and a more manageable day for me and it feels great to have improved the balance between working in my studio and being outside in the fresh air.

Anyway with all this going on I’m sooo behind with pictures but here is a little look at what the doggies have been up to this March, they’ve been awesome as ever – 99% of the time 😉 – and we’ve been having far too much fun, with basic training and games and especially on our trips to the beach 🙂

Halloween fun

A really lovely Halloween doggie social in the park, some very cute costumes, lots of very fast fluff, an honorary doggie called James and even a little bit of cake… what more can you ask for?

To download the photos click on the photo then right click it and press ‘save image as’ to save to your computer. All snaps taken by Leanne Warren @ Whickham Walkies… feel free to share but also any shout out for my photography services would be much appreciated  😉

A trip to Druridge Bay

It’s been a lovely half term, with lots of the doggies on their holidays it’s been a real treat to have a bit more time so we managed a trip up to Druridge Bay. The weather was cold and cloudy, a very crisp autumnal feel and we had a few spots of rain… this led to the added bonus of having a deserted beach once we got away from the tourists around the car park area… bliss! The doggies had lots and lots of space to really stretch their legs… a perfect trip the beach.

Fun

Typical… on a day when every single one of the doggies are being so… alert, obedient, having fun but also being great with their commands, sharing their toys nicely and playing and chasing so well together… I only go and leave the camera at home and have to rely on my camera phone for some snaps – in the rain – drat! I really loved this session they were totally awesome…
